For its 50th anniversary year, the New Jersey Lottery wanted to go big – literally. The introduction of a super-sized (about 8”x10”) scratch ticket was the main attraction. For a ticket like this, a regular coin would never do. A giant ticket needs a giant coin to scratch it with – making for a fun and cheeky starting point to get folks excited about the new game and associated events planned as part of the celebration.
